This week there will be a city hearing for a new 82 acre subdivision off of Hensel Road, right in the heart of Port Orange. This subdivision, to be called "Serenity Hills", plans to offer larger lot sizes than most of the newer subdivisions in the area and will be zoned for some of the best schools not only Volusia County but in the state of Florida.
The zoning request is for a single family residential subdivision. The property already has residential zoning and land use but the request is related to re-configuring some of the lot sizes and limiting the number of road connections to the adjacent subdivisions.
The city has just begun its review of the application and the public meetings (Planning Commission and City Council) have not been scheduled at this time.
I will keep my blog up to date on all of the details for Serenity Hills so be sure to follow my blog to stay up to date on upcoming zoning meetings, continuing plans and sales when they become available to purchase lots and homes.
