Come support our local elementary school- Sweetwater Elementary! Two of my three little ones attend this top school and we absolutely love it! This event is open to the public and is sure to be a COLORFUL, fun time!

Sweetwater Elementary is the place to be on April 23, 2016 when our PTA hosts its 5k Color Fun Run/Walk with proceeds supporting technology upgrades in our school.
Runners of all ages and ability levels are invited to join us and take part in the festivities we have planned.
We'll have music, food, and fun. Kona Ice and others will be in attendance.
All participants will receive a raffle ticket and color powder packet. All those who register by April 13 will be guaranteed a color fun run T-shirt.

What is a color fun run/walk?
A color fun run is a 5k run/walk where runners run through color stations at which colored powder will be thrown their way.
Is it safe?
Yes. The powder is a colored cornstarch that is 100% non-toxic and completely biodegradable.
Do I need to be a “runner” to participate in this event?
NO. Runners of all ages and ability levels are invited to join us and take part in the festivities we have planned. You can run, walk, skip, jump or cartwheel to the finish line. This event is all about having FUN with friends, family, and your teachers.
What is included in my registration?
All participants will receive a raffle ticket and color powder packet. All those who register by April 4 will be guaranteed a color fun run T-shirt.
What do the proceeds support?
The proceeds will support technology upgrades in our school.
What is the location of the run?
The run will start/end on the Sweetwater Elementary field behind the school. The 5k course will be leave out of teacher parking lot, making a right onto Victoria Gardens. Runners will go left on Clyde Morris Blvd. Left on Taylor Rd. Left on Woodcliff Rd. The runners will turn around at the end of Woodcliff Rd. and head back to Sweetwater Elementary. The course will be clearly marked and there will also be volunteers on the course directing runners.
Will there be packet pick-up?
Yes. Packet pick-up will be Friday April 22, from 1:30-3:00 and on race day from 7:30–8:30 am.
Can I register on race morning?
Yes. However the fee will increase to $30 the day of and you will not be guaranteed a fun run T-Shirt.
What should I wear?
We recommend you wear your Color Fun Run T-Shirt. The T-Shirt is white and will show all the pretty colors you ran through. Wear clothing/shoes you won’t mind getting color on. We recommend shaking out clothing, hair, and shoes before washing. Some runners wear glasses or goggles for their eyes, but this is not required.
How is the color administered along the course?
Volunteers will be along the course throwing the color powder on you. They will aim low as you pass by.
Can I get a refund?
Sorry, but we are not able to issue refunds for this event.
Will there be other activities?
There will be music, food, and fun. Kona Ice and others will be in attendance.
